Hulk Smash!
So many great movies this year. Cloverfield, Spiderwick, Ironman, Narnia, Horton, Indiana Jones and now this. Yet they keep on coming. I'm already anticipating the next Batman flick which is already close by. Its great to see more satisfaction and less dissapointments throughout the year.
Some 6 years ago, I've watched Ang Lee's version of The Hulk in theatres and left with a huge disappointment. Several errors spoiled the movie e.g. Hulk looked too fake, hulk's size didn't quite match his acrobatics, the comic-style presentation didn't really impress me (more of an annoyance actually), and the final battle scene was crap.
But after hearing the news about Hollywood intending to reboot the Hulk film franchise by giving it to new producers, they were really serious about making it right this time. They pulled in new actors and reconstruct a better, badder version of the mean green machine.
Now in theatres, The Incredible Hulk is a huge success and managed to bring its dedicated fans back. At first they were skeptical, thinking that another remake could end up as a dud, but the producers didn't break their promises. The film really hit the mark and brought homage to The Hulk's comic roots rather than directly continuing where it left off from the previous movie which never succeeded in the ratings.
The Hulk is now one big badass. His size may be smaller than the preceding film but he's built like a tank, with the body of a quarterback. Overall, he has the look and fighting style of the original Hulk as in the comics. Viewers are gonna enjoy every scene of the big star in action because that's where the popcorn's really worth.
Lots of cameos abound throughout the film, and one of them happened to be a superhero from the previous marvel film of this year, which I'm sure people are gonna love.
