Cross Country Through My Neighborhood

I was on my way back from a good morning car wash earlier today when I came across hundreds of students from Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan briskwalking along the small road in my neighborhood. Apparently it's their annual cross country event, with the majority participated in this physical activity being the lower secondary students of the college.

The Business School Consultation Week For The Intake of 2009

My, how the campus has changed...

It's that time of the year again as The Business School organizes the consultation session for interested applicants for the 2009 intake. The programme was held yesterday and will continue tomorrow. So for those interested to apply, do come to The Business School in Gadong anytime of the day tomorrow. I'm sure most of you know where our school is located by now. I mean, back in the day when I started the course, not many actually knew where 'The Business School' was and I had to draw a map for them when enquired.

So for anyone particularly the students who have just completed their O levels are interested to further their studies through the diploma courses in Business & Finance as well as Secretarial Studies, now's your chance. Bring your results and head over to our campus tomorrow. Don't worry, the tutors won't bite. Hehehe.

This is where it all began, exactly where I started 4 years ago (July 2005 intake).

And if you do drop by tomorrow, you'll get a glimpse of the seniors (my juniors) conducting their Business Project activities. Just a preview of what the courses have to offer and what you'll be doing at the peak of your course. The Business Project has been a tradition ever since and we've all gone through it, experiencing the excitement and the hardship of operating a business in groups.

Bukit Bintang, The Nightlife Experience

As Brunei is fast asleep after 9PM, the night life in Kuala Lumpur is alive with coffee shop establishments, pubs, street performers, neon lights and people. Here at Bukit Bintang, you could find just about any activities worth checking out as the night kicks in. Festivities and new years eve are annually held here in this part of the city. Just remember to bring your cameras.

Even at night, the streets are as busy a day.

These street performers are called buskers, and they're pretty good with their instruments. Kamaloko wrote an interesting article on them recently in our local newspaper.

Break dancers and shufflers also liven the night with their skills

In case you're lost...

It's everyone's favorite Goldman!

...and his sidekick, the silver midget.

They're literally everywhere!

I dubbed this place 'Arab Street' because of the variety of middle-eastern establishments along the block.

Hungry again, so we decided to grab ourselves a foot long Subway sandwich around the corner.

iPhone Killer?

Potentially the smartest smartphone ever. Will the N97 win the battle of the smartphones this year? Will it crush the iPhone and take over its throne as the current touch-screen smartphone king? After all, it's a Nokia, the brand with a very large market share in the mobile phone industry. You can never go wrong with the big N.

Today We Celebrate Our 25th Independence Day

I was supposed to head over to the national stadium in Berakas earlier this morning, but I somehow overslept. I'm still pretty exhausted from the KL trip. And to think that I'd be back before the big day. I've missed the shots for this year's National Day, which is a much special occasion commemmorating the silver jubilee of our nation's independence. Which reminds me, I'm 25 too.

Good Morning KL

Street photography in the morning of our 2nd day in Kuala Lumpur, when businesses open up and pedestrians commute to work. From Bukit Bintang to Masjid India, the morning scene is a breeze to experience in KL, if you don't mind the walking.

Lunch hour, and I was damn starving from all the walking! It's no myth; the chicken was way better than the ones back home.
