A Mötley Crüe Fan

Mötley Crüe on the Rolling Stone cover

Of all people, I didn't expect my little brother to be a huge fan of Mötley Crüe, the 80's bad-hair-day heavy metal / glamrock band. It's not everyday that I hear kids these days listen to 80's metal such as Mötley Crüe. The way I see it, kids these days listen to emo or hip-hop (a full-fledged geek if they're neither of those two).

I guess this has been the result of the Guitar Hero cult. He's been listening to the old Crüe songs and Nikki Sixx side projects these past month. Even his desktop wallpaper has Mötley Crüe all over it. Damn, when I was his age I listened to the Backstreet Boys. Oh, there was once a stolen home-made porn of drummer Tommy Lee and ex-wife Pamela Anderson which existed on the internet a decade ago. Heck it was one of the most downloaded and copied video in my high school years. Ahh, the 90's.

Mötley Crüe in their glory years

Mötley Crüe was first formed in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded by bass guitarist Nikki Sixx, drummer Tommy Lee, lead guitarist Mick Mars and singer Vince Neil. Their ninth studio album entitled Saints of Los Angeles is due to be released on June 17, 2008. The days of old school rock & roll are far from dead.

Mötley Crüe, present day. Still alive and kickin it old school.
