The New Business Project

The juniors called me up, asking for all school stock photos to be transferred to their hard drives. It's funny how I still keep all the old photos from the day I started my Pre-National Diploma 3 years ago. Banyak wah! Now it's time to hand it over to the Juniors, which they will surely need them for display boards and exhibitions.

And so I dropped by to the Business School late this morning to pay a visit to a bunch of them who were having their Business Project preparation meetings in respective classes and meeting rooms. It was really nice to see their faces again, lookin' kinda stressed (just like our earlier days, LoL). Oh, and the direct entries have moved to our former classrooms. Nice! Keep it tidy you guys.

Here's what's new with their Business Project concept for this year so far, as well as an update on other activities concerned:

• They will be selling primarily food, reviving the traditional business project concept of the super seniors.
• The Business & Finance students are now merged with the Secretarials in each respective group which accounts to a total of 10 members in each company.
• All activities, whether it be functions, celebrations, etc, will only be conducted on Wednesdays (school hours), hence the term 'dinner' will no longer be applicable.
• The upcoming progressing year 1 students will not be part of the orientation held next month due to 'venue accommodation issues' (the school's getting more crowded by the year).
• New uniforms!!!
• The Green Building next block will be accommodated with classrooms for the super juniors, or so I've heard.
  

Well I gotta say, they're sure lucky to be able to sell food again at no restrictions. We had a hard time selling 'products' or 'services' or 'cat shows' (Hj Amni, u owe me a cat show, ucingku inda lagi cute ah!). I wish all the best to the juniors and hope they all accomplish success throughout the Business Project. Insyallah, I'll pay you all a visit when I got the opportunity.

P.S. Could anyone come up with Cheesy Fries? I'd really like to see that. Just a thought.

Havoc Outing at Berakas Forest Reserve

We're baaaaaack! The Havoc crew went for an afternoon outing earlier today at the Berakas Forest Reserve. Sham was also there to join us. Unfortunately, Joe couldn't make it as he had an important errand he had to take care of. Today's theme was nature photography. Check out Marriz and Cybercanon's blog for some stunning shots. Another Must-Watch Summer Flick

The premiere has just kicked off in Europe, and it has already been given OUTSTANDING reviews. Starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman, Wanted is an action-packed, gun-shooting movie about a dead assassin's son who is offered the opportunity to seek revenge for the murder of his father through an invitation by a group of assassins to follow in his father's footsteps. Wanted is originally based from the popular comic book miniseries by Mark Millar. The film premieres here on Thursday, so book those tickets quick as its gonna run out fast!

Milk Teeth Boy

I took this kid's candid photo at Empire a few weeks back. At first I neglected it as it was part of a series, but I had another look at it last night and realized that it's got potential. Hehehe.

I've decided to shoot something different for a change. My pet cat deserves to be in a limelight so I took pictures of her while she's in a relaxed state by the kitchen sink.

By the way, her name is Nabel, and she's a month pregnant... I think.

World's Smallest HD Camcorder

Personally I like my gears and gadgetry big because bigger means more powerful (calm down ladies). But in the case of portable video recording, a bigger, heavier HD camcorder can be a compromise, especially when you're already carrying too many stuff around or when you're in a really tight situation. After all, filming is much more expensive than photography, and for an HD, I would have to invest on a much more powerful desktop computer for cutting and editing, and what's the point of enjoying hi-def movies without an HDTV in the living room anyway?

A New Cafe In Town

I bet you all are wondering where you could actually get that tasty Nasi Lemak dish I posted earlier. You can simply visit Simply Shaz Cafe & Restaurant downtown, located at the Kianggeh Foodstall by the Brunei River. It's a new cafe and they serve one of the best varieties of Nasi Lemak around. The place is really lovely at night too.

Family Outing in Bukit Shahbandar

We had a family outing this afternoon at Bukit Shahbandar. So much has changed there. The place has been given a major face lift these recent years and it turned out to be a great place for outdoor family picnics. My family, some came all the way from KB, gathered there today and we had a really great time. I used to hike here, a lot! That was the reason why I was so thin years ago; 9 hills every week! Now I'm a bag of potato chips. LoL.
