Sony Announces PS3 Slim

Would now be a great time to get one?

Look, No Controllers

Planning to get a PS3 this year? Now hold your horses. Check out what the Xbox 360 can do this time. (makes the Wii-fans sh*t their pants).

BCG's Rockband Tournament

The Brunei Cybergames Tournament is back, and kick-starts the new year of 2009 with a dose of next generation gaming hits e.g. Pro Evolution Soccer, Call of Duty and Rockband. My brother formed an allegiance with his friends and signed up to compete in the Rockband tournament today. Check out his blog for more details.

Meet 'Emily'

The woman you see talking in the video is Emily, and she's NOT real! What you're looking at is an entirely CG face superimposed on the real actor's head using the image metrics technology, far more advanced than motion capture. Soon you'll be able to have your likeness as a playable character in videogames. And maybe you'll see the late Heath Ledger return as the Joker in the next Batman flick! Is this the end of 'real' actors?

Still not convinced? Click here for the HD version of the video.

Through The Fire and The Flames He'll Carry On

The dust has finally settled, and we now have a brand new Guitar Hero champion. The winner of the Cybergames Guitar Hero III Tournament goes to my brother, Ak Md Hayatul Matin, finishing with one of the most challenging songs in the Guitar Hero library 'Through The Fire & Flames' (Dragonforce). He won a grand prize of $200 courtesy from Baiduri Bank. I will definitely get him into the next upcoming tournament.

Walk This Way

Guitar Hero fans rejoice. Guitar Hero Aerosmith is available in your nearest videogames stores now! I just bought the PS2 version last night for my brother and it's really REALLY damn good. Most of the A-list Aerosmith hits made it into the game, including Dream On, Walk This Way (featuring Run DMC), Pink, Rag Doll, Love in an Elevator, Kings & Queens and more. I'm currently setting my playlist in my iPod exclusively to all Aerosmith tracks and listening to them on the road. ~ WALK THIS WAYYYY!!! ~

Want a Next-Gen Console?

Craving for next-gen gaming but on a tight budget? Then get this XBox 360 (complete set) for $550 only. Plus, this attractive package bundles with 22 free games, including the best titles such as Halo 3 and Gears of War. It's still in very good condition, rarely used and only less than a year old. Contact me via e-mail if you're interested and I'll be happy to answer any enquiries.

Signing Up For Cybergames

I went to the i-Centre last friday to sign up for the upcoming cybergames event for my brother who really wanted to compete in the Guitar Hero III tournament so bad. He always missed signing up the previous events held. I will be covering his progress up to the big day on the 27th at the International Convention Centre. Hopefully he'll make it to the finals.

Upon my visit to the i-Centre, I met the RanoAdidas team.

Grand Theft Auto IV

One of the most anticipated video games of the year is now available at our local video game stores, available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I really loved the GTA series. Too bad I won't be able to play GTA IV since I haven't gotten myself one of those next-gen consoles in my living room... yet. Sigh ~

"Gotta get one of 'em iPods. Sucks listening to wind all the time."

Soulblades and Lightsabers

Lucky gamers who own a PS3! They'll get to play as Darth Vader for the upcoming Soul Calibur 4! Oh, and Yoda will be in it too...

Green, my lightsaber is, hmmm?

Hammering On a Portable

I love Guitar Hero. I guess that's the only PS2 game I've been playing for the past year (I took a break from being a gaming L33T 2 years ago). Though I only play less than occasionally unlike my brother who is a freakin' hardcore, I would consider hammering on a portable rather than just playing solitaire on my iPod all day.

The good news is, they're working on it for the Nintendo DS. A clip on controller for the portable console is being built which slides in to the cartridge slot. The bad news is, I have to invest on a Nintendo DS first. Crap!

Slimmer, Sexier, Sleeker PS3

Okay, the image above is probably just a mock-up, but Sony did recently announced that they are currently working on a slimmer and lighter PlayStation 3 which will be released sometime in Autumn of this year, code-named the PS3 Slim. I guess this will solve the issue about how the current model takes up too much shelf space. Hopefully it won't overheat easily like the slimmer PS2.
