BCG's Rockband Tournament

The Brunei Cybergames Tournament is back, and kick-starts the new year of 2009 with a dose of next generation gaming hits e.g. Pro Evolution Soccer, Call of Duty and Rockband. My brother formed an allegiance with his friends and signed up to compete in the Rockband tournament today. Check out his blog for more details.

The dust has finally settled, and we now have a brand new Guitar Hero champion. The winner of the Cybergames Guitar Hero III Tournament goes to my brother, Ak Md Hayatul Matin, finishing with one of the most challenging songs in the Guitar Hero library 'Through The Fire & Flames' (Dragonforce). He won a grand prize of $200 courtesy from Baiduri Bank. I will definitely get him into the next upcoming tournament.

Cybergames at ICC

This was the Cybergames Tournament held earlier today at the Baiduri Expo. My brother participated in Division A (Hard to Expert) of the Guitar Hero III competition, and as a proud big brother, I'm happy to report that he made it through as the finalist for this Sunday. I will be covering the finals and post it here, so stay tuned. I'm giving my brother the fullest support to be the next Guitar Hero champion.

The Baiduri Expo 2008 is held at the International Convention Centre from the 26th to the 29th of June. Apart from the Cybergames Tournament (organized by Ranoadidas), there are several booths and exhibitions at the Plenary Hall for all visitors to check out.

Signing Up For Cybergames

I went to the i-Centre last friday to sign up for the upcoming cybergames event for my brother who really wanted to compete in the Guitar Hero III tournament so bad. He always missed signing up the previous events held. I will be covering his progress up to the big day on the 27th at the International Convention Centre. Hopefully he'll make it to the finals.

Upon my visit to the i-Centre, I met the RanoAdidas team.

The Business School Scores Again

A big round of applause to The Business School for being the champion in the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards 2008. Congratulations to Rena and Ampuan for winning the event which was held this afternoon at the Hua Ho Manggis ballroom.

The HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards is a business plan writing competition open to tertiary level students in Brunei, and provides an opportunity to develop creativity, presentation skills, acquire practical business knowledge as well as to encourage participants to be interested in entrepreneurship.

S.B Employment Agency, which consist of Rena and Ampuan, is an agency offering services mainly for local citizens in seeking, finding or training people for suitable jobs.The team won 1st place and recieved an HSBC trophy for each member, B$3,000 and a chance to compete in the grand finals in Hong Kong this upcoming June to compete with champions from several Asian regions.

Once again, Rena has made the Business School proud. We have been reigning champions in the previous BSM LiveWIRE Business Awards for 2 consecutive years and now this. Hopefully the juniors will continue this trend.

On the photography note, most of the shots I took depend on ISO and aperture because I still have yet to invest on a separate flash, which will definitely make the shots clearer and smoother indoors. In addition, I'm not putting my watermarks on the photos below because of time issues (I've got Economics test on Monday). Nevertheless, enjoy the photos.
