Grabbed a copy of Borneo Bulletin today right after Friday prayer. The news about the seized dumplings were right in the front paper. The case is still under thorough investigation though. Man, I dunno if I'd ever hang out there again, but I really loved that place so much. It's the coziest place and the food's great. Sigh.

Evolusi: KL Drift

This film, released today, is influenced by The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. It tells the story of Zack (Syamsul Yusof) and Sham (Farid Kamil) who are close friends who share a passion for drift racing.

The movie is not at all that bad. It's much better than Impak Maksima, or so I've heard. Sound effects' a bit off-sync but the action's pretty sleek for a Malaysian film. The verdict; Fasha Sanda's hot. :P

Pork enzyme in a chicken pau? No kidding! Just heard this info earlier this evening from a friend, and later in the RTB news. It upsets me to realize the fact that one of my most favorite restaurants / chill-out place actually served them. I wonder how much pau I've consumed over the years I've dined there. Gilapakah!

Memory Lane: Back to SOAS

This was where I used to be, a decade ago. It's been 7 years since I left SOAS College for a job in a family business (before I enrolled for The Business School). So many memories left behind in SOAS College when I was a teenager, and now I have returned to see how much the college has changed for the past several years right from its Golden Jubilee in 2002.


I started my form 1 education in Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC) in Menengah 1C class in 1996. I took my PMB here in 1998 and achieved very well in my exams which allowed me to enter the Science stream for the O Levels, which I later took in 2000. Prior to the end, I repeated my O Levels in 2001, in which later I ended my studies in July to pursue a brief career in my family business.


I was a 4-time Inforama Computer Competition participant for 4 consecutive years, in which we won 2nd place against Maktab Sains in 1997. In sports, I used to be in the 'Kerma Indera' house (green), which still stands today along with the other great houses. I also participated the SEA Games in 1999 for the choir group when I was in form 4. It was one of the most memorable moments in my college life.

Now the college has been revamped with much better facilities and the compound never looked better. I really missed the good old days, back during my time with my old friends, and the teachers that we loved. But the spirit of the new generation of SOAS College students still lives on. I'm proud to be an ex-SOAS student.

Bad Hair Day

I had a bad start of a week this month with serious bad hair day. The girls in my class accused that I actually permed my hair. My mum gave me the look every time I got back home after a long sweaty day, sayin that I needed a haircut, badly!

It was my intention since the first day of the new year to actually grow my hair long to get a new look, so I thought I wanna leave it growing. But since I have natural curls its really tough to get myself look neat. But its a commitment I had made to grow my hair long in the beginning and I don't wanna mess this opportunity up again.

And so, off I went to the saloon to get a quick trimming today. It's been a long time since I went to a saloon for a haircut. I figured that if I wanna keep my hair growing, I'd just get the curls out and get a thin cut while keeping the length intact.

It only took a while. I felt a lot better after leaving the saloon in the end.

Wrapping Up Aura

Turns out our business project final presentation will be held on the 16th of this month. Aura will be the 1st group to present, and we've got 2 weeks to complete the presentation slides and compile our last report for submission.

Those who are lucky enough will get to present on the following week on the 23rd, but to me I think it'll be better to do it on the 16th. At least we could wrap up everything early and concentrate on our revision.

It's been 8 months since our first conception of the Business Project group Aura. So many challenges we've been through together. And now comes our final challenge which is the presentation. Hopefully we'll wrap it all up smoothly.

The Month of Hectic-ness

My iPod: The only remedy to my revision blues

April's here at last, and only a month to go before the final exams. This is gonna be the most hectic month of all. There are tons of workload to be completed, revision to be conducted, more assignments and presentations dumped in along the way, and just a couple of assessments to sum up.

There's just too many unfinished stuff that needs to be accomplished at a very short time. I'm really on a tight schedule. Just today we were handed another dose of Marketing assignment and I'll have to research on Intellectual Property in a given time frame of less than 1 week.

There's also this upcoming Presentation Skills Competition at MTSSR that I'll be participating. As a representative of The Business School, I've to re-polish my slides and other presentation materials for the big day next week. Can't say that I'm that well prepared but I believe I'll be able to go through it.

New Layout For Metaphorical Expression

Greetings fellow readers. Well I hope you like my new layout. Bigger fonts and simplified sidebars should give more convenience for you all. My layout theme still remains white though coz I like to keep my entries neat.

I've also made a slight change in the heading. I guess I'm the only blogger in this world who puts his heading title on the right. As for the logo, its still the same logo as before, with a noticable color manipulation of white and grey in contrast with my layout theme. Expect my logo to evolve.
