iPhone 3Gs, Worth The Wait?

A new version of the iPhone was finally revealed by Apple at the WWDC yesterday. Now sporting 32GB, runs up to 2x faster, equipped with tons of cool new apps, the ability to cut, copy and paste, a 3-megapixel camera and the biggest surprise - it now shoots video! I think I've found the ultimate iPhone I've been looking for. Guess I've to cancel the Flip Mino from my wishlist then.

Put a Little Google in Your Pocket

All the talk about Web 2.0 and Cloud Computing sounds like music to my ears. And then theres the Samsung I7500, the first Android phone by Samsung. the I7500 sports a gaggle of Google apps: You can send Gmail, sync your Google Calendar, manage voice mail via Google Talk, and watch YouTube videos. An integrated GPS antenna gives you access to Google Maps and its people-finding app, Google Latitude.

You could surf at near desktop speeds on a blazingly fast 7.2-megabits-per-second HSDPA network, or connect to the Web via Wi-Fi with this little gizmo. With 8GB of internal memory (plus a 32GB card slot), the I7500 has plenty of room to run the hundreds of apps available from the Android Market, play music, and store photos snapped with its 5-megapixel camera. The I7500 also sports gorgeous active-matrix OLED touchscreen and slick interface. If you're not iphone savvy, why not get one of these and enjoy the full power of a true internet phone.

DSLR Reinvented

Behold. This is the Panasonic Lumix G1. Introduced in last year's Photokina (annual international photography fair in Germany), it is the world's first digital single lens reflex camera without, get this, a mirror system. That's right. Ya know the traditional flipping mirror thing going on in a dSLR when you press the shutter, it doesn't exist in this little baby. This is an entirely new and advanced camera on the market using the recently developed Micro Four Thirds System. In other words, one bad-ass little sensor (12.0 effective megapixels) fitted in a compact body weighing only less than 500 grammes. Just look at the size of these little gizmo.

So what's all the buzz about? Well, the Lumix G1 is a technological breakthrough for digital SLRs and digital cameras overall. The G1 could be considered as either the most powerful compact digital camera to date or a reinvented digital SLR. You have the best of both worlds. A compact camera with a powerful dSLR sensor and...

...interchangable mini lenses!

As of its release, the Lumix G1 is supplied with a 14-45mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 lens, with a 45-200mm ƒ/4-5.6 lens as optionally available. The camera comes in black, red and blue, so you've got pretty much a variety too choose from. This camera certainly appeals to almost everyone. Finally, you could now get an affordable digital SLR that won't strain your neck from carrying heavy bulky gear all day... like this guy:

Stubborn Dust On My Sensor

This is what you get for photo-shooting for a living

I need to take a short break from shooting for a short while. There's dust accumulating on my sensor and I'm working hard on getting rid of it in anyway possible (a blower didn't help). I need to get it cleaned coz I've got a wedding to cover this weekend. This is what happens if you change your lenses too often. Rose Photo Studio to the rescue!
