Guess What Movie This Is From

Her name's Sabrina, also known to her friends and on the internet as Sabby Wabby. She's an aspiring young photographer and blogger, as well as a member of the Brunei Forever elite. Being young doesn't stop her from joining us in our photo-shoot outing, particularly in the recent Chinese New Year morning outing on the 26th. Such full of youth made into good use, and I've got 4 more wild and crazy years before I hit 30. Sigh... uhhh, anyway, do visit her blog and say hi to her.

And no, this is not from a movie. It's something I've been experimenting on; turning images I shot into cinematics. Kinda look like straight out of an indon chick flick eh? Well if I had you all convinced in the first place, then my experiment is a success. *LOL*

Shutter-bugs Flocked The Temple, CNY 09

Quite a large number of BFF members old and new showed up at the old Chinese temple in the capital yesterday to photograph the joyous moments of the Chinese citizens celebrating the festive day of 2009, The Year of The Ox. It sure was a hot sweaty morning, but nevertheless we had a great time together photoshooting, and for the record, it was like a huge gathering of BFF shutter-bugs yesterday. Too bad I didn't have a red shirt on like the rest of the guys (still waiting for my red BFF shirt order to be ready). Up next is National Day and the Maulud Nabi.

The Lion Dance, CNY 2009

Each year, the lion dance show with chinese drums would be held on the morning of the Chinese New Year at the old temple and has been an eye-catcher for the locals, tourists and now shutter-bugs.

Outing At The Temple, CNY 09

The shutter-bugs of Brunei Forever Forum organized a Chinese New Year outing for 2009 held at the temple in the town capital yesterday morning. I got up early to join them at our designated checkpoint and strolled with our gears to the temple, all clad in red to commemorate the special occasion (pity I my red BFF shirt isn't available yet so I had to make do with black) to witness the Chinese citizens of Brunei celebrating their holy occasion.

End of Year Hiatus

I will be on hiatus for quite a while, meaning that I won't be updating for a few days, probably until this weekend due to the wrapping up of my industrial attachment. That's right, I've got work which needs to be finalized before I leave the company (last day's on the 31st) and my final attachment report to be completed (which is currently at 50% as I typed this... ugh). Not to worry though, this is just brief. I should be able to get everything done in no time. The end of the year sure is a busy one for me this year, unlike the time of the calm during the pre-Ramadhan and post-Aidilfitri days.

Not forgetting my fellow christian / catholic friends out there, whoever and wherever you are, I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Beautiful Moonlight Above Gadong

Went outing with the BFF last night in the back alleys of Gadong for a light painting session. Though I did not bring a tripod (okay, I don't really have one yet) and torches for last night's activity, I thought I'd capture this beautiful scenery at the location instead. Hey, its better than nothing right?

Sunset Strip

Okay so its not exactly Boulevard, but its the only place in the country where you could find the best neon lights. And the sky's pretty at dusk. Hmm. I think I've been here before, like... every week. Deja Vu? Hahaha.

Gadong Sunset Outing

We had a brief outing yesterday with the Brunei Forever Forum gang. The theme was Gadong Sunset Outing. Unfortunately there was no sign of the sun as the sky was totally covered with dark clouds (it rained later in the night). Anyway, Mr Airbiscuit was kind enough to give us a self-portrait and group photo opportunity with his fish-eye lens at our usual assembly spot near the Mall and here's the outcome.

Return To Blue Eden

After a month of renovation, Blue Eden re-opened its doors a few weeks back. But only last night I got to visit the newly-furnished photographers sanctuary in Kiulap after a day at the DST Carnival. It's much more spacious now, and the interior works are fab. It's nice to be back again, to a place where everybody knows my name. Oh, and Sunday's the perfect time for BFF Photographers to be there.

DST Carnival, Launch Day

Sorry I didn't take too many pictures from the DST Carnival today. I wasn't really feeling inspired much. I dunno why, maybe its the depressing weather. LOL. Hopefully I'll return to the carnival this sunday and take more shots. Anyway, if you guys haven't been there, go check it out tomorrow. Two words; cheap laptops! Hehe.

Met my juniors on my way up. They were screaming my name so loud people could hear them. Mmmkayyy...

UBD Beach Carnival

In conjunction with its Convocation 2008, UBD organized its very own beach carnival last Sunday at Muara Beach. There were a lot of activities, sports and games, and the craziest were the stage performances which caught the crowd dancing to the beat of the music. Lots of familiar faces showed up and I even got the chance to meet up with new interesting people. It was a really hot Sunday though, but it was a fun day to be there nevertheless.
