KL, Here I Come

Monday 16th - Friday 20th

On a Hiatus

I'll be flying off to KL today, via the 3PM flight with a group of friends. I'm gonna be away from cyberspace for a few days until I get back, and I should be back before the national day. I believe I deserve this holiday, after 3 years of studies and hard work. And I haven't been flying for the past 3 years. It's time to take a break and unwind.

I miss flying...

Deserted in December

Looks like almost everyone's been packin' up and headed north this holiday. Even Gadong looks deserted almost every time I went there, which is a good thing though because for the first time in many months its easier to find a parking spot in the area. I guess they're all after the big Year End Sale in Malaysia or somethin'. Even my supervisor took a week off.

As for me, I'm just finishing up my remaining days at my workplace. I know I can't get out of the country at this time as I've to wrap things up here and the fact that I've to start working on my final attachment report for the school. But all is good. I'll be getting out of here next year. I so can't wait to travel again. KL 2009, here I come!

Some Road Trip

Everyone's flying off somewhere this holiday. Rena and Ampuan got to visit Hong Kong, the boys had a great time in Singapore, etc. I haven't been traveling abroad for 3 years and even during this holiday week I couldn't get a chance to fly anywhere. But there's only one place that I could check out nevertheless. It's not really much. That's right, folks. I went to Limbang.

A camera shop... that does not really sell cameras (or lenses, or flashes, etc)

On the bright side, I did manage to get a 2 gigabyte memory card for my dSLR which was quite reasonably cheap, but that's about it. I was hoping I could find something worthwhile to spend on but this ain't Singapore. Someday, just someday, I will fly again.

To make matters worse, it rained on our way back home.
